The importance of building innovation ecosystems to ensure sustainable future growth. An innovation ecosystem consists of five core pillars: strategy , leadership, management, culture and processes. To put it in a simple way: you know where you want to get to, but unless your starting point is clear than any proposed route and any stops along the way are simply guesswork, or in innovation parlance, unproven assumptions. To understand the maturity of each element making up an ecosystem, one first needs to understand the difference between attributes and outputs.
